At present, the risk to the UK population from the current mpox outbreak is considered to be low and no cases have been detected in the UK. However, the UK Government has ordered more mpox vaccine doses to help ensure it is well-prepared for any cases that may enter the country and enable the NHS to vaccinate those who may be at higher risk of coming into contact with mpox. This vaccine is not currently available but, if needed, it is anticipated that it will be offered to those eligible in stages as it becomes available over time and based on clinical need.
Should the vaccine become more widely available in due course, we will update this website with relevant information on who is eligible and how it can be accessed.
