All iCaSH clinics are self-referral, which means that a GP referral letter is not necessary. The service is free, confidential and non-judgemental.
You can access our services by calling 0300 300 3030 to book an appointment, attending any of our ‘sit and wait’ sessions, which do not require an appointment (use the 'find us' page to check which areas offer 'sit and wait' sessions and when these are running), or by ordering a self-test kit online.
If there is a particular sexual contact that you are concerned about, please advise when you book your appointment so we can make sure you test at the best time.
Waiting time when in the clinic
A full check-up may take up to an hour and a half, so please allow this much time for your visit. Our sit and wait clinics can be very busy. We aim to see people within two hours of registering but it can sometimes take a little longer.
Please make sure that you arrive in the clinic at least five minutes before your appointment time, so that any registration information can be completed. Patients attending sit and wait clinics will be seen in turn, however please expect to wait during busy periods.
As there may be different clinics running at the same time, it may appear that a person who arrived after you is being called before you, so please be patient. However, if you have been waiting for more than an hour and half, please inform a member of staff who can advise you of the wait and give you the option to stay or book an appointment on another day.
Please let the reception staff know when you book your appointment if you require an interpreter during your consultation. Unfortunately, it is not appropriate to use friends or relatives as interpreters, as they may not completely understand the medical information and may not be able to interpret in full.
